Sweet Tooth Treats

We ladies love our sweet things and a girls’ holiday isn’t complete without a sweet treat here and there. Las Vegas is home to some seriously indulgent delights that will leave you with the ultimate sugar rush and an appetite for more.

The Palazzo hotel is home to a seriously stylish sweet shop called Sweet Surrender. Here you can indulge like a star with the Decadent D’or, a $750 cupcake. Yes that’s right, $750!

This incredible cupcake is more like a work of art and was created by Chef Olivier Dubreuil of the Venetian and Palazzo. The cupcake is baked with Palmira Single Estate Chocolate, derived from the rare and delicious Porcelana Criollo bean at the Valrhona plantation in Venezuela. Next it’s topped with Tahitian Gold Vanilla Caviar, one of the world’s most labour-intensive crops, it is ripened for nine months, harvested by hand, then cured, dried and hand-split – hence the price. This lavish cupcake also includes 100 year Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac and edible, gold leaf. A true diva dessert.

For something a little more affordable but equally indulgent, try the Sugar Factory on Las Vegas Boulevard. This exciting sweet shop and café offers a rainbow of sweet treats including a range of ‘Couture Pops’, lollipops in all styles, perfect for that fashion loving foodie.
